SMARTMon

SMARTMon is the unique tool developed by BLUESHAPE for the line of GRANITE SMART battery packs, the next step in battery support

The BLUESHAPE SMARTMon PC Utility will provide the user with tools that were only available though a repair center in the past. 

Once the BLUESHAPE Smart battery is connected to the PC via a standard USB-C cable, the battery will be polled and evaluated. If there is an issue, the program will attempt to resolve the problem with a firmware reset. If the issue is a critical failure that has shut-down the battery (over-discharge, for example), the program is able to evaluate the condition and clear it, if possible. If the problem still persists, the program will create a service ticket and notify the BLUESHAPE tech team, which will follow up with the user. The system is also capable of installing general firmware updates AND can apply a specific firmware patch or upgrade designed to fix the problem with that specific battery.

The SMARTMon PC Utility has additional features. It enables the user to put the battery in “Ship Mode,” which sets the battery in a deep sleep state, blocks discharging or use until the battery is “awakened” by charging it, preserving the battery during long-term storage or rendering it safe for shipping. The LEDs can be tested to ensure the user has the proper usage display. It also can read the lifetime data of the battery to provide indications of performance and identification of when any problems have occurred.

Additional features are under development, such as the ability to browse the battery history and evaluate the performance degradation.

Any future benefits will be available through the SMARTMon program for on-site updating without the need for a repair center.
